JUNIOR CRICKET
At Northern District Cricket Club, we are deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of cricket talent. Our emphasis on junior development ensures that young players have strong pathways to develop their skills, achieve their ambitions, and progress to the highest levels of the sport.
Schools Cup
For nearly 50 years, Northern District Cricket Club has proudly hosted the Schools Cup, a prestigious T20 cricket tournament. Schools across the district and Central Coast compete in a knockout format, culminating in an exciting final at Mark Taylor Oval.
Both private and public schools are invited to participate, offering many players their first introduction to a NSW Premier Cricket Club. Over the years, numerous participants have advanced to play Premier Cricket with Northern District, progressing through our Junior Development Pathway Programs.
The competition focuses on boys in Years 7, 8, and 9, with a girls' division introduced in the 2022-23 season, reflecting our commitment to inclusivity and growth of the female game.

Junior Competitions
Northern District Cricket Club maintains a strong alliance with the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai and Hills District Cricket Association (HKHDCA). The association organizes age group competitions for boys and girls from Under 10 to Under 17, providing a competitive environment for young players to hone their skills.
Additionally, HKHDCA enters teams from Under 12 to Under 17 in the NSW Youth Championships, further offering opportunities for junior players to compete at higher levels.
