WHO WE ARE

Established in 1925, Northern District Cricket Club (NDs) has been a cornerstone of the local community for nearly a century, fostering talent and promoting the spirit of cricket. With a rich history of success and a strong commitment to developing players at every level, we are proud to be more than just a cricket club—we are a family.

Our club is home to a range of budding young cricketers to seasoned athletes, all united by their passion for the game. We are dedicated to nurturing talent across all levels, from junior girls' and boys' squads to elite men’s and women’s premier cricket. Additionally, we proudly offer opportunities for disabled players through our decade-long BlowFly cricket program.

NDs continues to embody the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and community involvement. We believe in playing the game the right way, with an unwavering commitment to excellence, fair play, and respect. Our club’s success is built on strong relationships with local junior cricket associations, schools, sponsors, and the extended NDs family—including alumni and current members.

Northern District Cricket Club has a proud history of developing players who go on to achieve great things. Our alumni include Australian cricket legends such as Mark Taylor, Adam Gilchrist, Brad Haddin, and Nathan Lyon. In the women’s game, we have been fielding teams in the NSW Women’s Premier Cricket Competition since 2004, with players like Stella Campbell representing Australia.

Our partnership with the Hornsby Shire Council has led to the continued enhancement of our facilities. The redevelopment of Mark Taylor Oval, our home ground, and the opening of an Indoor Cricket facility have provided us with some of the best playing and training environments on the north side of the harbour. These facilities ensure that every player at NDs has the opportunity to reach their full potential and aspire to higher honors.

At NDs, we are more than just a club—we are a community dedicated to the love of cricket, the pursuit of excellence, and the development of good players and even better people.
